2010 Commonwealth Games in India

Commonwealth Games 2010Dales Sports Surfaces Ltd in partnership with Jubilee Sports Technology (I) Pvt Ltd of India have been chosen as the installers of the Artificial Bowling Greens and Surfaces for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

There are 8 full size greens to be built in 6 months. It will be the first time the Bowls events in the Commonwealth Games have been held on an artificial surface after some disasters on new natural greens.

Dales have become the World market leaders for Artificial Bowls Surfaces both Indoor and Outdoor installations in 2009 in Australia, New Zealand, Tunisia, Malaysia, Spain and the USA. The portable rink used for televised events including the World Championships is also provided by Dales Sports.

Despite the recession business has held up well particularly in export and this contract will provide many challenges but will hopefully further enhance the reputation of Dales Sports Surfaces Ltd.
